Introduction

The “UNLIMIITD” campaign for IIT Delhi, conceptualised by Pandesign, highlights the institution’s limitless opportunities in education and research. The name cleverly combines “Unlimited” and “IIT Delhi (IITD),” symbolizing boundless innovation and excellence.

We needed to encapsulate IIT Delhi’s vision of limitless opportunities in education and research through the “UNLIMIITD”t campaign. This involved creating a unique name by merging “Unlimited” with “IIT Delhi,” developing a cohesive visual identity, building an engaging microsite, and producing compelling communication materials to position IIT Delhi as a global leader in innovation and interdisciplinary excellence.

UNLIMIITD (a fusion of “Unlimited” and “IIT Delhi”)

Process

Campaign Identity

We created the UNLIMIITD campaign identity by merging “Unlimited” with “IIT Delhi,” using bold typography and distinct colours, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints for strong brand recognition.

Ideation: Combining “Unlimited” with “IIT Delhi” to symbolise boundless opportunities and innovation.

Design Development: Utilising bold typography and distinct colours, with “IITD” highlighted in blue and yellow.

Visual Cohesion: Ensuring the visual identity is consistent across all campaign materials for strong brand recognition.

Implementation: Applying the finalised design to the microsite, brochures, and presentation templates, maintaining a cohesive and engaging visual experience.

Tagline

The tagline fosters meaningful dialogue and action, urging individuals to transform from followers into changemakers.

“Are you a #follower or a #changemaker?” is a thought-provoking call-to-action designed to inspire and empower individuals. It challenges people to reflect on their roles, urging them to move beyond passive observation and become proactive innovators.

Purpose

Inspiration: Motivates individuals to take initiative and drive progress.

Empowerment: Highlights the potential to influence outcomes and effect change.

Engagement: Uses the hashtag format to encourage public dialogue and personal introspection.

Impact

Provokes Thought: Challenges the audience to question their current roles.

Promotes Action: Encourages steps toward personal and collective growth.

Colour Palette

The cohesive colour palette supports the overarching theme of transformation and innovation that the UNLIMIITD campaign aims to promote.

Academic Sky (#009FE3)

Representation: Blue is commonly associated with trust, dependability, and intelligence.

Usage in Campaign: The use of blue in the hashtag #Follower and the letters “IIT” underscores the trustworthiness and academic excellence of IIT Delhi. It also conveys a sense of calm and stability, reinforcing the institution’s reliable and respected status.

Pioneer Yellow (#FFC632)

Representation: Yellow symbolises energy, optimism, and creativity.

Usage in Campaign: The use of yellow in the hashtag #Changemaker and the letter “D” in UNLIMIITD highlights the dynamic and innovative aspects of the campaign. It encourages individuals to be bold and creative, positioning them as active contributors to change.

Wisdom Navy (#2B2F4B)

Representation: Dark blue denotes sophistication, elegance, and seriousness.

Usage in Campaign: The use of dark blue in the main body text (“Unlimited IIT Delhi”) provides a strong, clear contrast to the other colors, ensuring readability and emphasising the campaign’s message with a touch of professionalism.

Overall Aesthetic and Message

The combination of blue, yellow, and dark blue creates a balanced, visually appealing aesthetic. It captures the essence of the campaign’s message: inspiring trust and reliability (Academic Sky), encouraging creativity and boldness (Pioneer Yellow), and maintaining professionalism and clarity (Wisdom Navy). This cohesive colour palette supports the overarching theme of transformation and innovation that the UNLIMIITD campaign aims to promote.
